Ever since the Talking Heads David Byrne has been creating great, if not always accessible, music. As an Artist he's always mixing it up, this time with Singer-Songwriter St. Vincent for the Love This Giant album.
While his "hit" days may be over he can still craft a great song. They are touring this year - If you get a chance definitely take it in as it'll be a multimedia tour de force.
David Byrne (born May 14, 1952) is a musician and artist, best known as a founding member and principal songwriter of the American new wave band Talking Heads, which was active between 1975 and 1991. Since then, Byrne has released his own solo recordings and worked with various media including film, photography, opera, and non-fiction. He has received Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe awards and been inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Annie Erin Clark (born September 28, 1982),[3] better known by her stage name St. Vincent, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She began her music career as a member of The Polyphonic Spree and was also part of Sufjan Stevens' touring band before forming her own band in 2006. Clark currently resides in Manhattan.[4]
Her debut album, Marry Me (2007) was released to critical acclaim, and was followed by the more commercially successful Actor (2009). Her third album, Strange Mercy, was released on September 13, 2011.
