A feel-good song about the joy of new love. I put it in as hip hop due to the lyrical structure but it's more reggae pop ... If there was such a category. A fun, rollicking tune!

I'd describe this song as Hard Electronic ... As opposed to dreamy, atmospheric and other adjectives that you usually associate with Electronic this is gritty, driving and gets ya feet shuffling.

Liars is a three-piece band formed in 2000 consisting of Angus Andrew (vocals/guitar), Aaron Hemphill (percussion, guitar, synth), and Julian Gross (drums). Although initially lumped into the New York dance-punk scene of the early 21st century, they have come to be categorized by their dramatic stylistic shifts between albums, while retaining a consistent interest in rhythm and sound texture.

Well since today is the start of the London Games it's fitting we're featuring a UK band ... It just happens to be a great song! Forget London 2012, it's London 1969. This modern psychedelic tour de force catches the spirit of swingin' London without sounded dated.
Django Django are a British psychedelic quartet. The band consists of David Maclean (drummer and producer), Vincent Neff, (singer and guitarist), Jimmy Dixon, (bassist) and Tommy Grace (synth operator). The quartet, who met at art school in Edinburgh, formed in 2009.
The Guardian gave the album 5 stars out of 5 whilst NME rated the album 8 out 10. Tuppence Magazine gave the album 4.5 out of 5, describing it as "a new modern classic" referencing the innovative use of African sounds and musical fusion.

Here's a solid new guitar-driven song from a new band. How solid? They caught the ear of Joy Division's Peter Hook so if that isn't credibility what is? I haven't heard the rest of the album but if this is any indication there's some great music just over the horizon.
After a formative performance at the SXSW Billboard Official Showcase in 2011, national outlets started taking notice, with Pitchfork stating "Chicago new wave aesthetes California Wives caught our ears" and My Old Kentucky Blog firmly declaring "This could be the next buzz band everyone is talking about..."

Teenage Icon is the 2nd single from The Vaccines upcoming album (Sept. 3 release). It's a fine song ... Hummable, kinda catchy, a 50s rock and roll sound matched with a more modern angst vocal.
The Vaccines are an English indie rock band who formed in West London in 2010. The band's debut album, What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?, was released through Columbia Records on 14 March 2011 and reached number 4 in the UK Album Chart . They drew comparisons to Ramones, The Strokes and The Jesus And Mary Chain. The band, however, talked of influences ranging from "'50s rock 'n' roll to 80s American hardcore and good pop music". They toured extensively and opened up for the likes of The Walkmen, The Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys and Arcade Fire.
